Boost Your SaaS Conversion Rate With These 2 Quick Marketing Tips

In this blog, I’m going to share a couple of quick (but powerful) marketing tips that will boost your SaaS website conversion rate.

They’re both related to messaging, as this is the #1 marketing issue I see with most SaaS companies.

Remove vague words from your copy

In the world of SaaS marketing, precision is the name of the game. It’s the difference between just creating content and creating content that converts.

Here’s an example of typical content you’ll see on a SaaS website in an attempt to market their product:

❌ “Create contracts quickly”

This is super vague, dull and unenticing. You need to make your visitor think “YES! I need this NOW!”

Here’s how I would rewrite it:

✅ Create employment contracts in 30 seconds with AI-driven templates

Let’s break it down

  • “Create employment contracts” – Hyper specific to use case
  • “in 30 seconds” – Eyebrow raising brag and addressing customer pain-point
  • “with AI-driven templates” – How we do it

Another one of my favourite headline structures is:

How to get [problem] without [objection]
An example would be:

✅ How to Get Secure File Sharing Without Data Privacy Concerns

Review your website homepage, landing pages and product pages. Look at all your headers. Are they vague and unenticing? Rewrite them with a format similar to the above, and watch your conversions 🚀

Copywriting Fact 🧠 Our brains hate blocks of text

Have you ever found yourself skipping over paragraphs with three sentences or more? You’re not alone. Our brains are wired to seek out bite-sized, digestible information.

So, if you want readers to actually read your copy…

You must use short, snappy sentences that keep their attention. Look at this newsletter as an example. It’s easy to read, right? That’s the goal.

In the world of SaaS marketing, your need to quickly get your message across. Break up long paragraphs into shorter, snappier sentences. Bullet points and icons are your friends.
