My weekly SaaS marketing tip

When it comes to messaging, SaaS startups shouldn’t take inspiration from Apple.

You’re much better off taking inspiration from Ronseal.

🇬🇧 My (older) UK subscribers will remember the famous slogan:

“It does exactly what it says on the tin”.

Clear beats clever every time.

Clever works well for Apple because…well, they’re Apple.

Tell your customers what you do, how it helps them, and why it’s a no-brainer.

I see far too many SaaS brands trying to be too smart with their marketing copywriting, using buzzwords and technical jargon. This results in your audience being confused.

Another one of my favourite marketing slogans… “You confuse, you lose!”
